How can we put what we know about the mind-body connection into practice? We know that mental health and physical health are fundamentally connected, but mental health treatment plans often do not address the barriers that prevent people from maintaining or improving their physical health. We will talk about the current research on mind-body connection and hear firsthand from people who have a lived mental health experience about the barriers they’ve encountered when trying to maintain both their physical and mental health.
